Another Southeast Conference dual season is in the books and another regular season title can be checked off the list for the Washington wrestling team, as they downed Mount Pleasant last night to cap off a perfect conference slate.

Both teams were undefeated in the league heading into the day and the Demons came out with an emphatic 45-23 win to capture their fifth straight conference title. It all started at 120 lbs whene Walker Ikerd managed a pin in 1:37. The Panthers were able to answer back with a fall of their own at 126 lbs to tie it up at 6-6. The Demons got on a roll after that rallying off seven straight wins. Dillan Sanders won at 132 lbs by fall, Garrett Ikerd at 138 lbs by a 2-0 decision, David Hora at 145 lbs by fall, Cade Pohren with a 4-1 decision at 152 lbs, Kiowa Keith at 160 lbs by a 10-4 decision, Tristin Westphal-Edwards at 170 lbs by 5-0 decision, Collin Murphy at 182 lbs by fall, and Tanner Murphy at 195 lbs by a 2-1 decision. The Demons forfeited 220 lbs and got their final win of the day from Mitchell Huisenga at 285 lbs by fall in 27 seconds. The Panthers won the lost two matches but it was too late and the Demons defended their title.

Washington pushes their dual record to 25-3 and will get back on the mat tomorrow hosting a quadrangular.
