The Washington basketball teams will get their first look at the 2018 slate tonight when they welcome Fort Madison for a Southeast Conference matchup.

The Demon girls will look for a fresh start in the second half of the year, as they come into the contest 3-7. Washington was last in action two weeks ago falling to Louisa-Muscatine 40-36. Sarah Nacos continues to lead the Demons with an average of 13 points a game on 37% shooting. Addison Six and Brooke Stout have cleaned up the boards with 16 points a game. The Demons will look to jump on the struggling Bloodhounds, as they come into the contest 0-7 on the season. Sarah Bernhart is their leading scorer with seven points and four rebounds a game.

The Washington boys will look to build off their strong end to the first half by winning back-to-back games to put their record at 2-4. Jack Redlinger has really turned it on averaging 12 points a contest including scoring 40 points combined in their wins over Keokuk and Marion. Luke Turner has collected seven points a game and Cale Hobscheidt leads the boards with six a game. The Demons will have to play their best going up against the 5-3 Bloodhounds. Treavor Kokjohn has been impressive for Fort Madison averaging 18 points a game while shooting at a 56% clip and snatching 14 boards a contest.
