Crochet, knit, weaving, and more will be on display and in activities in February at the Washington Public Library for Fiber Arts February.

One display is already up for viewing in the front entrance case and that is Pakistani textiles by Julie Zahs with pieces she collected in the 1970’s. Librarian LeAnn Kunz shares lace will also be on display, “For several weeks in the Helen Wilson Gallery we will also have a lace exhibit from the collection of Virginia McCurdy. So that will be a completely different sort of take on textiles, but again extremely beautiful.” In addition there will be a small display of pieces that have been created in the past during Fiber Arts February at the library’s workshops.
