The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls basketball teams travel to North Cedar tonight to battle the Knights in a River Valley Conference doubleheader.

The Mid-Prairie girls enter tonight’s game with an overall record of 7-2. They knocked off Williamsburg 61-41 in their last game before break. On the year, the Hawks are led by Addie Rath scoring 18 points per game, second in the RVC. Rath is also the team’s leading rebounder with 78 boards, 10th in the River Valley. Anna Vilovchik leads the Golden Hawks with 27 assists.

The North Cedar girls enter play with an overall record of 4-5. On Tuesday they fell to Camanche 77-45. Tessa Fields leads the Knights, scoring 10 points per game. Fields also has the team lead with 22 assists. Darby Hawtrey is best on the team and sixth in the conference with 92 boards. The Hawks won this matchup last year 50-29.

The Mid-Prairie boys come into tonight with an overall record of 2-7. The Hawks were last on the floor before Christmas when they were beaten by Williamsburg 62-43. On the season the Hawks are led by Cale Robertson scoring nine points per game. Brad Tornow has the team lead with 22 assists. Tom Butters has 57 rebounds, best on the team and sixth in the conference.

The North Cedar boys are 2-6 on the year. The Knights were beaten by Camanche 65-34 on Tuesday. Ethan Sahr leads North Cedar scoring 13 points per game, seventh in the RVC. Mason Minar has 15 assists to lead the Knights. Minar also has the team lead with 43 rebounds. Last year the Knights won this matchup 63-53 in Wellman.
