The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk basketball teams fell in both ends of a River Valley Conference doubleheader Friday at Camanche.

The Mid-Prairie girls dropped their contest 79-43. Camanche rolled early, leading 24-14 after one quarter and outscoring Mid-Prairie 17-5 in the second to take a 41-19 lead into the break. The Indians outpaced Mid-Prairie 38-24 the rest of the game to seal the win. Delaney Smith led the Hawks with nine points. Mid-Prairie is now 10-8 on the year.

In the boys game it was Camanche with the 77-56 win. The Indians led by seven after the first quarter and took a 44-30 lead into the half. Camanche continued to slowly pull away in the second half, outscoring Mid-Prairie 33-26 after the break. The Golden Hawks were led by Tom Butters double double 14 points and 12 rebounds. Cale Robertson added 14 points, and Dominic Pickard had 10. With the loss Mid-Prairie falls to 4-14 on the year.
