Highland High School will be busy today as the Huskies host the annual Gary Curtis Invitational on their home mat.

The Huskies have a 3-8 dual record on the season and have not been in action since going 1-4 at an event at West Burlington before Christmas.

Joining the Huskies today in Riverside will be the Washington Demons. Washington stands at 19-2 on the year, fresh off of a triangular sweep of the Fort Madison Bloodhounds and Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks on Thursday night. The Demons currently have one ranked wrestler in their lineup according to thepredicament.com with Tristan Westphal-Edwards ranked No. 3 in class 2A at 170lbs.

The Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union Wildcats will be at Highland. They are 9-1 on the season. The Wildcats have one ranked wrestler with defending state runner-up Jarod Kadel ranked first in the state at 106lbs.

The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks will also be at Highland today. The Hawks are 9-8 on the year after dropping a pair of duals in a triangular against Washington and Fort Madison Thursday.

Other teams at the event include Alburnett, Cascade, Iowa City Liberty, Muscatine, New London, Iowa City Regina, South Tama, West Branch and Saydel.

Action begins at 9:30 this morning and continues all day at Highland High School.
