The Highland and Sigourney-Keota wrestling teams hit the road on Saturday to compete in the Hudson Invitational.

The Huskies placed seventh in the 10-team tournament with 102 points. Don Bosco took home the title with 244 points. Headlining the day for the Huskies included Cory Stewart (21-5) placing second at 138 lbs. He won by an 8-2 decision and 10-2 major decision before falling to Don Bosco’s Gable Fox by technical fall. Highland had three wrestlers finish third including Cullen Klebe (12-13) at 126 lbs, Geoff Streb (8-18) at 132 lbs, and Dan Burton (14-13) at 160 lbs.

The Cobras finished eighth on the day with 92 points. Kaleb Reeves (29-0) continued his undefeated senior campaign placing first at 220 lbs. He won all three of his matches by fall in a combined 2:34. Nick Ives (17-11) had a solid day at 138 lbs placing third by winning four out of his five matches. The Cobras had a trio of wrestlers finish fourth including Mason Dye (28-3) at 106 lbs, Luke House (10-14) at 132 lbs, and Mac Conrad (14-7) at 195 lbs.

Sigourney-Keota will get back on the mat today traveling to Cardinal and Highland will head to New London Thursday.
