The Highland boys and girls basketball teams are on the floor for the first time in 2018 tonight when they host the Wapello Arrows and Indians in a Southeast Iowa Superconference doubleheader.

The Highland girls enter play with a 7-2 overall record. The Huskies were winners over IMS 57-33 last time on the floor. On the season Highland is led by Aly Stokes scoring 16 points per game, fifth best in the Superconference. She also leads the team and is seventh in the conference with 29 assists. Her 93 rebounds are also best on the team and second best in the league.

Wapello comes into tonight with an overall record of 5-3. Last time out the Arrows knocked off Holy Trinity 47-45. The Arrows are led on the season by Tiffany Parsons scoring 13 points per game, eighth most in the Superconference. Her 42 assists are fourth most in the Superconference. Her 57 rebounds are also a team high. The Arrows swept both meetings between these teams last season.

The Highland boys enter play with a 4-3 overall record. The Huskies were beaten 71-55 in their last game before break by IMS. On the year Highland is led by Zack Lasek scoring 20 points per game, second most in the conference. His 76 boards are best on the team and in the conference.Trey Lasek has the assists lead for the Huskies with 42 on the year.

The Wapello boys enter play at a perfect 7-0 on the year. The Indians finished out the first half of the year with a 70-41 win over Holy Trinity. On the season the Indians are led by Trent Massner scoring 20 points per game, best in the Superconference. His 53 assists are also best on the team and lead the conference. His 51 boards lead Wapello and are seventh in the conference. The Huskies swept Wapello in their two games last season.
