Tonight the Iowa Mennonite School boys and girls basketball teams travel to Bud McLearn Court at Mediapolis High School to battle the Bulldogs and Bullettes.

The Iowa Mennonite girls enter tonight with a 1-8 overall record. They dropped their last contest to Pekin on Tuesday 51-44. Suzanna Yoder finished with 21 points. On the season IMS is led by Suzanna Yoder scoring 20 points per game, third most in the Superconference. Yoder also has the team lead with 30 assists, seventh in the Superconference. Alyssa Hershberger has the team lead with 57 rebounds.

Mediapolis comes into tonight’s game at a perfect 9-0 on the season and ranked No. 8 in class 2A according to the latest poll from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. In their last game the Bullettes got by Winfield-Mt. Union 65-37 behind 21 points from Maya Johnson. On the season MEPO is led by Maya Johnson, scoring 24 points per game, fourth most in class 2A. Helaina Hillyard leads the Bullettes and Superconference with 48 assists. Hillyard also has the team lead and is seventh in the conference with 73 rebounds. Mediapolis won the matchup between these two schools to open the year 86-48 in Kalona.

The Iowa Mennonite boys come into tonight at 7-1 on the season. They knocked off Pekin 44-39 on Tuesday, led by 20 points from Reggie Borntrager. On the season, IMS is led by Cole Ours, third in the Superconference scoring 15 points per game. Caleb Gingerich has the team lead and is second in the league with 47 assists. On the glass Mitchell Schmeider is best on the team and fourth in the conference with 74 rebounds.

Mediapolis enters tonight with an overall record of 2-6. On Tuesday they beat Winfield-Mt. Union 56-52. Ben Wolgemuth had 19 points in the win. On the year the Bulldogs are led by Wolgemuth at 15 points per game, fifth best in the Superconference. He is best on the glass on the team and third in the conference with 83 boards. Brady Pfeiff leads MEPO with 22 assists on the season. IMS swept both games from the Bulldogs last year.

Action begins tonight at 6PM at Mediapolis High School.
