Winfield-Mt. Union hosted Iowa Mennonite School in a Southeast Iowa Superconference basketball doubleheader Tuesday night.

In the girls contest the Wolves took a 52-39 win. The Lady Wolves scored the games first seven points and never trailed en route to the win. WMU held a 27-13 lead at the half. The Lady Wolves would stretch that lead to as large as 15 in the second half. IMS cut the deficit to single digits three times in the second half but could get no closer than eight in the loss. Lexee Hartsock led WMU with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Allie McArtor also had a double double 11 points 10 rebounds. Suzanna Yoder led IMS with 28 points. The WMU girls are now 9-8 on the year, IMS is 3-12.

Iowa Mennonite rolled in the boys game with a 67-22 win. Cole Ours opened the scoring with back to back threes for IMS and they never trailed in the contest, leading 29-6 after one and 45-11 at the half. IMS enacted the continuous clock on the first possession of the second half. Iowa Mennonite turned Winfield-Mt. Union over 22 times in the win. Trevor Leyden led the way for IMS with 15 points including three three point goals. BJ Rodgers led WMU with nine points. The IMS boys are now 13-2 on the season, WMU falls to 2-14.
