After a week of road trips the Iowa Mennonite School boys and girls basketball teams are back at Hillcrest Union tonight to take on the Louisa-Muscatine Falcons.

The IMS girls enter play at 3-13 overall. They were beaten 54-42 Friday at WACO. Suzanna Yoder leads the IMS attack, she is the state’s top scorer in class 1A averaging 22 points per game. She also has the team lead with 58 assists, sixth in the Superconference. Alyssa Hershberger paces IMS with 108 rebounds.

Louisa-Muscatine enters tonight at 13-6 on the year. The Falcons beat Winfield-Mt. Union Friday 50-44. Mariah Pugh leads the way for L-M at 13 points per game, seventh in the conference. She also leads the team, Superconference and is fourth in 2A with 199 rebounds. Alexa Wehrle leads the team, Superconference and is second in 2A with 126 assists. L-M won the first matchup between these two schools 54-46.

The Iowa Mennonite boys enter tonight’s action with an overall record of 14-2, winners of five straight, after a 57-42 win over WACO on the road Friday. On the year Cole Ours leads IMS scoring 15 points per game, fifth in the Superconference. Caleb Gingerich is best on the team and fourth in the conference with 67 assists. Mitchell Schmeider is best on the team and sixth in the conference with 129 boards.

Louisa-Muscatine comes into tonight at 9-9 on the year. Last time out they fell to West Burlington 65-53. On the year the Falcons are led by Brady Walker at 14 points per game, sixth in the Superconference. Walker is also best on the team and fifth in the league with 135 rebounds. Dawson Munday has the team lead with 42 assists. IMS won the first matchup between these schools 74-51.

Action begins tonight at 6p.m. at Hillcrest Union.
