January Temperatures and Snowfall Below Normal

January in Washington has experienced weather conditions below normal so far.

The month began with record low temperatures. According to the National Weather Service, Washington has received a total of 2.2 inches of snowfall so far this month, below the normal 3.4 inches. The average temperature has been 9.6 degrees, more than 10 degrees below the normal figure of 20.9 degrees. Temperatures are expected to warm up over the weekend with highs in the upper 40’s and rain on Sunday. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
