Tuesday is the first day of classes for the spring term at the Kirkwood Washington Regional Center.

This is the start of the term for area students, including the concurrent credit students from partner high schools.

Director of the Center Tera Pickens shares some words of advice as the term begins, “Don’t procrastinate. And make sure that they’re staying on top of their coursework. That they’re planning out their semester, knowing when their assignments are do, when their tests are. Just being prepared and honestly studying. Attending class. Those are all simple, little things that any student can do but it definitely equals to success.”

Pickens says each term they have 60 to 65 non-traditional students. The center offers classes in person, and from their own home with the web-live platform, and completely online courses.
