The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team was busy Saturday at the Denver Dual wrestling tournament.

The Golden Hawks won two of their five duals. The Hawks knocked off Mediapolis 48-33. Mid-Prairie got a win in a contested match from David Murray at 138lbs by fall.

The Golden Hawks also beat Martensdale-St. Marys 55-21. Mid-Prairie got wins in contested matches from Tobin Miller at 113lbs by fall, Eli Steckly at 126lbs by fall, Vinnie Bowlin at 132lbs by fall, David Murray at 138lbs by fall, Miles Burrows at 145lbs by fall, Joe Allred at 152lbs by major decision 18-10, Ben Meader at 160lbs by fall, Josh Wallington at 182lb by fall and Colton Allen at 195 by 4-2 decision.

The Hawks fell to Dyersville-Beckman 63-12. Mid-Prairie got wins in contested matches from Eli Steckly at 126lbs by fall and David Murray at 138lbs by fall.

Mid-Prairie fell to Fennimore, Wisconsin, 78-6 with Vinnie Bowlin scoring the win for the Hawks at 132lbs by fall.

The Golden Hawks dropped their final dual of the day to Stewartville, Minnesota 72-9. Mid-Prairie got wins in contested matches from Miles Burrows at 145lbs by fall and Cory Allen at 170lbs by 7-1 decision.

After Saturday Mid-Prairie now stands at 12-12 on the dual season as they get ready to host the River Valley Conference Championships Saturday in Wellman.
