The next step in razing the Goncho Apartment building and constructing townhouses in Washington was taken this week.

Washington City Administrator Brent Hinson shared the project with the Washington County Board of Supervisors at their weekly meeting Tuesday. Hinson shared once the project is complete the valuation will change from the current $70,000 to over $1 million. The six townhouses will be for sale at about $180,000 with about 1,600 square feet each. The timeline is for the building to be torn down in February or March and construction to begin in the spring.
