Snow fell across the KCII listening area Friday causing poor road conditions and many traffic wrecks were recorded.

According to the Washington County Communications Office, there were 25 wrecks between 9:45 a.m. and 11:45 p.m., many of which were cars sliding into ditches. At 1:20 p.m. there was a three-vehicle wreck at Highway 218 and 230th Street near Ainsworth, where a car hit the back end of two other vehicles on the highway. No injuries were reported.

At 1:39 p.m. a truck went across the median of Highway 218 near Riverside and hit a semi trailer. Washington County Ambulance assisted at the scene and there were no injuries.

At 2:20 p.m. a vehicle left the road at Highway 1 and 130th Street and hit a tree. Kalona Fire Department, Kalona QRS, and Washington County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene, and Washington County Ambulance transported one person to the Washington County Hospital.
