The City of Riverside is rezoning parcels of land for residential housing and a possible community center.

The city council recently held a public hearing for the rezoning of the Cherry Lane second addition. The change will have one parcel rezoned from A-1 Agriculture to R-1 Single Family Residential, and a second parcel will be rezoned from A-1 Agriculture to P-1 Public. Scott Pottorff of MMS Consultants told the council a community center can be built on a public zone. The council approved the proposal upon first reading, waiving the second and third readings. The parcel is situated east of Ash Street and west of Kleopfer Avenue.
