Two vehicles collided head-on northeast of Mount Pleasant Monday morning.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, 18-year-old Camden Linkin of Mount Union was eastbound on County Road H38, east of Mile Avenue at approximately 8:36 a.m., when he crossed the center line and struck the front end of a westbound vehicle. The second vehicle was driven by 66-year-old Valerie Harmon of Mediapolis. Both drivers were transported by Henry County EMS to Great River Medical Center in West Burlington for treatment of injuries. Both drivers wore a seatbelt. Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Henry County EMS assisted at the scene. This incident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
