The WACO basketball teams will start up their 2018 portion of their season tomorrow when they welcome Cardinal to town.

The Warrior girls finished up the first half of the year with a 3-6 record. Kiana Miller is having a solid senior year for WACO leading the team with 10 points per game and 14 steals defensively. Kristen Conelly adds a three-point threat shooting 43% from behind the arc while averaging seven points a game. The Warriors go up against a struggling Cardinal team that finds themselves at 1-9. WACO will look to apply heavy pressure against a team that only averages 24 points a contest. Freshman Alexia McClure has been a spark for the Comets with an average of nine points per game.

The WACO boys found some confidence in the first half of the year to sit at 3-6 on the season. Nik Coble has done everything in his sophomore season collecting a team-high 10 points and 12 rebounds a night. Colton Horak has added seven points a game and leads the team in steals with 27. The Comets are in search of their first victory, as they are 0-9 on the year. They are led by Dawson Hamm with nine points and six rebounds a contest.

The action gets started at 6 p.m. tomorrow at WACO High School.
