The WACO boys’ basketball team was back on the hardwood Tuesday against Central Lee and came out on the losing end of a 54-42 affair.

The Warriors kept it close throughout, leading 11-8 after the first and trailed 22-21 at the break. WACO had a three-point lead heading into the fourth when Central Lee outscored them 21-6 in the final frame to manage the 12-point win. WACO shot just two of 14 from behind the arc in the loss and 19 of 53 from the field. Conner Eichelberger led the Warriors with 15 points and Beau Beckler added 10. The Warriors fall to 9-11 and Central Lee improves to 14-5.

WACO gets back on the court for the Southeast Iowa Super Conference shootout tomorrow when they host Mediapolis.
