Demons to Compete at District Speech Saturday

Washington High School students will be presenting speeches at the district individual contest this Saturday.

Washington will be taking 14 students to Tri-County High School for the contest. Students will present speeches in a variety of events including storytelling, musical theater, after dinner speaking, and interpretative reading. The state individual contest will be March 10th at Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School.

John Flannery: Literary Program and Storytelling
Logan Hanson: Solo Musical Theater and Acting
Karmen Knipfer: Literary Program and Individual Improv.
Rio Lujano: After Dinner Speaking and Individual Improv.
Addison McGuire: Solo Musical Theater
Grace Miller: Acting and Storytelling
Meghan Newman: Literary Program and Interpretative Reading: Poetry
Casey Peiffer: Solo Musical Theater and Interpretative Reading: Poetry
Stephanie Plants: Interpretative Reading: Prose
