Drought conditions in Iowa remained nearly unchanged with changes of less than a percent from last week to this week.

Currently 15.15% of Iowa is in moderate drought and 53.63% is abnormally dry, less than a single percentage point from a week ago. Most of Washington County is in moderate drought, as are Johnson and Louisa Counties. Most of Keokuk and Iowa Counties are abnormally dry with areas of moderate drought. And all of Henry and Jefferson Counties are under moderate drought conditions. At this time last year only 11.8% of the state was abnormally dry.
