The Highland Huskies are on the floor tonight in the first round of the Class 1A playoffs when they take on the Danville Bears at Hillcrest Union in Kalona.

Highland comes into tonight with an overall record of 10-11. Last time out the Huskies dropped their Southeast Iowa Superconference Shoot Out matchup with Central Lee 75-60. The Huskies were led by 18 points from Trey Lasek and a double double 14 points and 11 rebounds from Zach Lasek. On the year Highland is led by Zach Lasek averaging 21 points per game, second in the Superconference North. He also has the team lead with 190 rebounds, fourth in the Superconference. Trey Lasek has the team lead and is second in the Superconference with 103 assists.

The Danville Bears enter play with an overall record of 10-10 overall. Last time out the Bears knocked off Van Buren 76-67. On the year the Bears are led by Max Wilcox at 20 points per game, Best in the Superconference South. Bryce Carr is best on the team and second in the south with 127 assists. Taylor Kennsett leads the Bears with 127 boards.

These two teams met in January with Danville taking a 75-70 win. Action begins tonight at 6:30 at Hillcrest Union on the campus of IMS.
