The Highland School Board discussed responsibilities of the positions they will be sharing with the Lone Tree School District at their recent meeting.

Superintendent Dr. Mike Jorgensen presented a list of duties for the four positions they will be sharing with Lone Tree.

Jorgensen suggested that salaries be increased for other administrative staff to reflect an increased amount of responsibilities they’ll absorb as the superintendent will not be on site as often. They will be sharing Lone Tree Superintendent Ken Crawford at 20%. Those salaries will be determined when contracts are brought up.

Industrial tech teacher Brian Haymond will give eight hours a week to buildings and grounds/maintenance work to Lone Tree, Co-Activities Director Joe Donovan has been promoted to Transportation Director for Highland and Lone Tree, and Dean of Students Bill Zywiec will also serve as human resource director for Highland and Lone Tree. These three positions and superintendent position will be shared for the 2018-2019 school year.
