Would you like to send a musical gift to a loved one this Valentine’s Day?

The Iowa Mennonite School Chamber Choir will be delivering singing Valentines locally Wednesday, February 14. A long-running tradition for the IMS Chamber Choir, the six-voice acapella ensemble of Monet Slabach, Adria Ebersole, Samantha Miller, Hannah Peters, Cole Ours, and Brandon Jimenez will make surprise visits to homes or businesses, singing a romantic selection from Bosnian love songs to 1960s pop tunes. Peters is a singing Valentine veteran, “This is my favorite chamber activity and it’s just good to get out of class and hang with your fellow peers and sing some Valentines. And I just love that moment when you surprise somebody because they have no idea and that’s just great.”

The cost for singing Valentines is $35 for individuals and $60 for groups and the proceeds go towards the IMS Music Department. Singing Valentines also include a box of chocolates for that special someone, to schedule a Valentine call IMS at 656-2073.
