The Iowa Mennonite School and Keota girls basketball teams will face off in the opening round of the class 1A regional tournament tonight in Keota.

IMS comes into the game with an overall record of 3-16. They fell in the Southeast Iowa Superconference Shoot out Friday against WACO 58-38. Suzanna Yoder led the way with 19 points, Avery Blauvelt had 10. On the year Yoder leads IMS and the state scoring 22 points per game. She is also the team leader in assists with 69, sixth in the Superconference. Alyssa Hershberger has the team lead with 136 boards.

Keota comes into the playoffs with an overall record of 3-18. The Eagles were winners their last time out knocking off Albia on the road 50-45 behind 17 points from Addison Sprouse, 13 from Paige Thompson and 10 from Addison Swanson. On the season the Eagles are led by Sprouse at 14 points per game, fifth in the South Iowa Cedar League. She also has the team lead with 96 boards. Jill Schulte leads the Eagles with 51 assists. These two teams met in the 2015 playoffs with IMS scoring a 38-29 win.
