Keota High School students have received All-State recognition in speech.

The Keota speech team competed at the state large group speech contest at Linn-Mar High School February 3 and were named All-State for three events. Taylor Conrad, Aalieyah Heldman, Kendall Wilson, Anna Duwa, Addie Swanson, Jaime Schulte, and MiKayla Beatty will be performing at the All-State program for their Readers Theatre event “Trailer Park Broadcasting Scandals.” A One Act Play event “Scooter Thomas Makes It to the Top of the World” and an Ensemble Acting event “The Christmas Machine” were both named All-State nonperforming. Keota Readers Theatre students will perform at the 2018 Large Group All-State Program February 17 at the Iowa State Center in Ames.
