Mid-Prairie High School will have a new administrative leader next school year.

The school board approved the creation of a combined position of Assistant High School Principal and Activities Director for 2018-2019. As current Activities Director Steve Hollan is retiring at the end of this school year, Superintendent Mark Schneider and High School Principal Jay Strickland said this is the opportune time to create a new position. The district has posted the job opening and will be conducting interviews in March. It was stated during the board meeting that while there may be some additional financial impact, it is thought that it won’t be large and will provide increased services to students at the high school and across the district.
