Upcycled Bottles

Title: Upcycled Bottles
Description: The Kalona Public Library will be offering special creative arts workshops for adults ages 55 and older during March and April. The first workshop, “Upcycled Bottles” will be held on Wednesday March 14 from 10 a.m.-noon. Participants will use found items to create vases or storage bottles. Pancake Breakfast

Description: St. Mary’s Church of Lone Tree and Nichols is having their annual pancake breakfast Sunday March 11 from 8 a.m.-noon at the Lone Tree American Legion. They will be serving pancakes, eggs, whole hog sausage and ham, juice, milk, and coffee. Cost is $7 for adults, $4 for kids 6-10, and kids 5 and under are free.

Description: Winfield Community Development Group is having a casino night Saturday March 10 at the Twin Lakes Country Club. There will be a freewill offering fajita bar at 5:30 p.m. and the casino is open from 7-11 p.m. There is a minimum $20 buy in with $10 buy backs. All proceeds go the the Rick Rodgers Community Pool.

Description: Washington County Conservation Board will be hosting “Small Wonders: Turtle Excitement” on Saturday March 10 at 10 a.m. at the Conservation Education Center at Marr Park. This hour and a half program will be filled with stories, crafts, and hands-on activities, as well as exploring the traveling exhibit “Turtles: Secrets of the Shell” and view live specimens. They will also take a short hike weather permitting. This event is free and all children ages 3-5 must be accompanied by an adult.
