Washington

Walker Ikerd is done for the tournament after falling to #2 Kaden Anderlik of Crestwood in the second round of consolations for 120 lbs by a 9-3 decision.

Tristin Westphal-Edwards lost at 170 lbs in the quarterfinals to Mount Vernon’s Paul Ryan by a 6-5 decision. He is done for the tournament after falling to #4 Noah Glaser of New Hampton Turkey Valley by a 9-8 decision in the second round of consolations.

Mitchell Huisenga saw his career at 285 lbs end after falling to #8 Kobe Clayborne of Sioux City Bishop Heelan Catholic in the second round of consolations by fall (2:10).

 

Columbus Community/Winfield-Mt. Union

#1 Jared Kadel is moving onto the semifinals at 106 lbs after beating No. 6 Jacob Mielke of Pocahontas Area in an 8-4 decision. He will face #5 Colby Lillegard of Bondurant-Farrar this afternoon.

Cam Rice lost to No. 4 Tanner Probasco of South Tama County in the quarterfinals at 138 lbs by fall (2:53). He then won the second round of consolations over Reed Abbas of Clarion-Goldfield by fall (2:59). He will face Colby Tool of Prairie City Monroe this afternoon.

 

Class 1A quarterfinals/consolations and 2A semifinals/consolations will start at 2:30 p.m. Friday

Sigourney-Keota

#9 Mason Dye took care of business at 106 lbs with a 15-3 major decision over Seth Danker of Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center. He qualifies for the quarterfinals on Friday against #2 Beau Klingensmith of Woodbury Central.

#2 Kaleb Reeves at 220 lbs won his only match of the day over Joel Mendoza of Eagle Grove by fall (3:21). His quarterfinal match will be up against #5 Zack Santee of Central Springs.

WACO

#8 Cody Crawford lost his first match at 285 lbs against #2 Enrique Maravilla by fall (3:07). He stayed alive by winning his first consolation match over Grant Battreal of Montezuma by fall (1:27). He will face off with the loser between #7 Darlyn Marquez of West Sioux and Brian Sadler of Jesup.

Lone Tree

Aaron Slaughter lost at 113 lbs to Moravia’s Wil Martin by a 9-7 decision in overtime. He won his first consolation match over #8 Caiden Jones of Lake Mills by fall (5:50). He will face the loser between #4 Jacob Moore of Denver and #1 Adam Allard of West Sioux on Friday.

Highland

Brady Hahn won at 145 lbs by a 7-3 decision over Kameron Black of Newman Catholic. His quarterfinal match on Friday will be against Nicholas Martin of Moravia.

 

Class 2A

Washington

Walker Ikerd fell in his first match of the day at 120 lbs to #8 ranked Kurtis Krager of OABCIG by fall (5:09). The junior turned around and won his second match by a 14-10 decision against #9 Bryce Hatten of Winterset. He advances to the second round of consolations to wrestle the loser between #2 Kaden Anderlik of Crestwood and #3 Drake Doolittle of Webster City.

#3 Tristin Westphal-Edwards won his only match of the day at 170 lbs by a 9-8 decision over #10 Lincoln Coakley of Estherville-Lincoln Central. He advances to the quarterfinals tomorrow to face Paul Ryan of Mount Vernon.

Mitchell Huisenga fell in his first match at 285 lbs by a 6-1 decision to #1 Cooper Lawson of Webster City. He then won his first consolation match 8-1 over Mario Moncada of South Tama. The senior matches up tomorrow with the loser between #8 Kobe Clayborne of Sioux City Bishop Heelan Catholic and #3 Solon’s Tyler Linderbaum.

Columbus Community/Winfield-Mt. Union

#1 Jared Kadel won his only match at 106 lbs by a 9-0 major decision over Cole Whitehead of Center Point Urbana. He advances to the quarterfinals tomorrow to face #6 Jacob Mielke of Pocahontas Area.

Cam Rice won his first match by a 3-0 decision at 138 lbs over Kruze Kibers of Winterset. His quarterfinal matchup wil
