The Sigourney Savage boys basketball team saw their season come to an end Wednesday in the semifinal round of class 1A district 10, falling to No. 4 Lynnville-Sully 69-26.

Things were tight through the first eight minutes, the Hawks holding a 12-9 lead. Lynnville-Sully cranked up the defense the rest of the way, allowing Sigourney just 17 total points over the games final three quarters while getting hot offensively with runs of 20-4 during the second quarter, 20-8 during the third quarter and 17-5 in the fourth quarter. The Hawks put four in double figures led by Tanner Foster with 13. With the loss, Sigourney ends their season at 10-13.
