The WACO Warrior boys basketball team gave Superconference South Division Champion Burlington, Notre Dame all they wanted Thursday night but in the end it was the Nikes that advanced with a 53-44 first round district win at New London.

The Nikes got out to a quick start, leading 19-10 after the first quarter and made that difference stand up the rest of the game. WACO made several pushes to tighten the game up but Notre Dame was able to do enough to fend off the Warriors and advance. WACO was led by a monster double double 18 points and 17 rebounds from Nik Coble. With the loss WACO ends their season at 10-12. The Warriors will say good bye to seniors Connor Eichelberger, Jacob Fried, Calvin Battle, and Beau Beckler.
