The Keota boys’ basketball team finished the year as the highest scoring offense in the South Iowa Cedar League east division and a big reason why was the do-it-all point guard in JD Stout.

The sophomore toyed with many defenses throughout the year and finishes atop of the SICL in many offensive categories. Stout cashed in on a conference best 23.6 points per game, which was five points higher than the second place player. Efficiency was the name of the game for Stout, as he shot 55% from the floor that ranked first in the division with players having at least 100 attempts. The sophomore could work inside and out as he also connected on 34% of his threes that ranked second in the division. Despite the team losing nine players to graduation, the Eagles will be in good hands with Stout terrorizing defenses for two more years.

Keota finished the season 15-7.
