Three vehicles were involved in a collision in Washington during the Monday morning commute. Local authorities responded to the wreck at the intersection of South 4th Avenue and East Washington Street at 7:46 a.m. According to the Washington County Communications Office, there were two children complaining of injuries, one with shoulder pain and the other bleeding. As heard from the scene on KCII, airbags deployed in the car. Washington County Ambulance transported two people to Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. The drivers were Danielle Andrew of Washington, Sean Salazar of Washington, and Breann Barnett of Wayland. Salazar was cited for failure to yield upon making a left turn. Responding to the scene were Washington Rescue, Washington County Ambulance, Washington Police and the Washington Fire Department.
