Washington head varsity football coach Garrison Carter will bid farewell to the Demons, as he recently accepted the same position at ADM High School in Adel for the 2018-19 school year.

Carter acknowledged that it was a tough decision but the move allows him to be closer to family. He noted, “I am so proud of the program we have built and I love each of our players dearly.” In four seasons as the Demons headman, Carter has led them to three state playoff appearances and has compiled a 29-12 record. Also serving as the offensive coordinator, he helped develop Washington into one of the most prolific attacks in the state including leading class 3A in points per game, yards per game, and yards per play this past season.

Carter will look to rebuild the Tiger program, as they search for their first winning season in six years.
