The Columbus Wildcats saw their season come to a close in the first round of the class 2A district tournament, falling to the Central Lee Hawks on the road 78-52.

Central Lee started the game red hot, going on a 23-9 run that lasted the entire first quarter and following that up with a 24-9 run in the second quarter to take a 47-18 lead into the half. In the second half Columbus wasn’t able to make a push as the Hawks enacted the continuous clock. The Wildcats were led by 15 points from Abel Mena. Tommy Pretz had 13, Chepo Cardenas 12 and Chance Colby 10. With the loss Columbus ends their season at 0-22. They will say good bye to seniors Bryan Solis, Abel Mena, Tommy Pretz, and Marshall Meade.
