A jury trial has been set for August for a Washington man that was arrested last July after driving 142 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone.

A trial for 32-year-old Travis Cole Brown had originally been set for March 20th, but an order for continuance was issued and the trial pushed back to August 21st. He is facing three charges, including possession of a controlled substance third or subsequent offense, the second charge is for eluding – injury, OWI, drugs or participating in a felony, and the third charge is for operating while under the influence third offense. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 6:25 a.m. July 21st, a deputy advised there was a black motorcycle not stopping at Larch and 190th going 95 miles per hour south of Wellman. The vehicle was stopped at 1494 Ginkgo Avenue and Brown was arrested. He was charged with driving under suspension, expired registration, reckless driving, driving 76 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone, and driving 142 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone. A $10,000 bond was paid.
