Washington County Conservation Director Steve Anderson had a hunting and fishing infraction in December.
According to the Iowa Court System, Anderson pleaded guilty in January to fishing and hunting with no license over $50 but under $100 on December 19th at Marr Park. He paid the $195 ticket and surcharges. In a written statement, Anderson tells KCII, “Like many Iowa sportsmen, I am in the habit of purchasing a 3 year hunting & fishing license. Unfortunately, I failed to notice that it expired last year, and thus also failed to renew it. This mistake resulted in my receiving a citation. I regret this personal life mistake.”
In 2013, he pleaded guilty and paid a $195 ticket for failure to tag a deer.
