Three KCII area girls track teams, Washington, Highland and Columbus were in action Thursday for the first time this season at the Washington Indoor meet hosted on the campus of Cornell College in Mount Vernon.

Hannah Anderson brought home the lone championship for Washington on the night, winning the 60m dash with a time of 8.13 seconds. Anderson was also third in the long jump and was on the 4×400 team of Ashley Telleen, Leah Marek and Jenah Greiner that finished ninth. Other top finishes for the Demons include Isabel Bailey 11th in the long jump, Leah Marek 16th in the 200, the distance medley team of Anna Nacos, Sophia Kleese, Brynn Beenblossom and Alivia Emry 16th, the 4×800 team of Isabel Bailey, Claire Horak, Brooke Stout and Ashley Telleen 21st, Brooke Stout 23rd in the 1500, Addison Six 24th in the high jump, Anna Nacos 26th in the 200, Kellie Dallmeyer 30th in the 60m dash, Addison Six 32nd in the 400, Brynn Beenblossom 34th in the 200, Michaela Hoffman 35th in the 60m dash, the 4×800 team of Alivia Emry, Addison Six, Taylor Brinning and Peyton Cuddeback 38th, Kellie Dallmeyer 39th in the 400, Cierra Miller 45th in the 60m dash, Kira Ropp and Samantha Miller 51st in the shot put, and Emma Herr 61st in the shot put.

Top finishes for the Highland Huskies included Emily Yahnkee as runner up in the long jump, leaping 16’4″. Yahnkee was also part of the distance medley team that took 21st place along with Kristy Thomann, Aly Stokes and Zoe Mahler. Stokes also scored a top 10 finish, taking eighth in the 400 with a time of 1:07.89.

Other Highland finishes included Hailey Harmston 17th in the high jump, Sarah Schneider 19th in the 200, Kaylee Rath 22nd in the shot put, Kristy Thomann was 28th in the 60m dash, Alyssa Clarke 33rd in the 400, McKenna Winegard 40th in the 60m dash, the 4×800 team of Madison Thomann Zoe Mahler, Alli Brand and Fiona Mahler were 41st, Fiona Mahler was 41st in the 1500, Murphy Beinhart was 42nd in the 200m, Carrie Jacobson 43rd in the shot put and Alyssa Clarke 48th in the 60m dash.

Top finish for the Columbus Wildcats came from Angie Byas in the long jump taking 17th with a leap of 13’8″. Byas was also 32nd in the 60m dash and 41st in the 200.

Other Columbus finishes included Anna Hamilton 18th in the 400, Jenessa Carpenter 22nd in the 1500, the 4×400 team of Olivia Carrier, Anna Hamilton, Ingrid Montero and Destiny Langley 23rd, Ingrid Montero 24th in the 400, the distance medley team of Courtney Zaehringer, Emma Milder, Odalyz Valdez and Taylor Howell 26th, Michelle Diaz 31st in the shot put, the 4×800 team of Jenessa Carpenter, Odalyz Valdez, Vanessa Mena and Destiny Langley 32nd, Vanessa Mena 38th in the 1500, Emma Milder 41st in the 60m dash, Naveli Martinez 43rd in the shot put and Courtney Zaehringer 46th in the 60m dash.
