The Iowa Mennonite School and Columbus boys and girls track teams are in Wapello tonight.

The IMS boys and girls are opening the outdoor season tonight. Both ran at the Central Indoor meet in Pella two weeks ago. Suzanna Yoder led the way for the IMS girls, taking fifth in the 400, 11th in the long jump, 14th in the 200 and 23rd in the 60m dash. The IMS boys were led by Levi Geyer third in the 1600, Aaron Hershberger 47th in the 400 and Louis Etienne 49th in the 200.

The Columbus Wildcats are also in Wapello tonight. The Columbus boys had a big night Thursday at the Steve Roth Relays at Case Field in Washington, scoring 102 points. The Wildcats had three championships with Tommy Pretz winning the long jump. Abel Mena winning the 400 and the shuttle hurdle team of Pretz, Mena, Nick Hernandez and Chance Colby winning gold. The Columbus girls have not been on the track since the Demon indoor meet at Cornell. Angie Byas led the way that night, finishing 17th in the long jump, 32nd in the 60m dash and 41st in the 200.

Joining IMS and Columbus in Wapello are Durant, Louisa-Muscatine, West Liberty and Wilton. Action begins at 4:30 and continues into the evening at Wapello.
