From the 1960’s to the 1990’s, fans of television sitcoms from that era will get to test their knowledge at the Keck Theatre Players spring production.

With an all-ages cast of actors from Wapello, Grandview, Morning Sun, and Muscatine, the Keck Theatre Players will perform five comedy skits inspired by TV shows from the 20th century. The skits were written by Doris Ryan, who is also directing. Audience members will be encouraged to guess what particular sitcom each skit is based upon. Stage Manager Kathy Dice mentions a special treat for TV fans, “We are having a trivia contest in between the skits, as well where our director Doris Ryan will be coming out and asking questions for the audience, and I’ve heard rumors of prizes of candy bars being handed out to correct answers.”

Performances will be this Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. at the Heritage Stage in Wapello. There will be a dinner before the show Friday. Tickets for the Friday show are by reservation only and cost $18. Friday tickets are available at the State Bank of Wapello or by calling 563-505-6191. The Saturday and Sunday performance tickets are $9 and are available at the door.
