A Keokuk County man has been arrested for attempt to commit murder.

According to the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office, 27-year-old Johnathan James Ray Walker of What Cheer was arrested Saturday. Authorities responded to a 911 call reporting a stabbing on Highway 22 near Thornburg at approximately 12:40 a.m. One male victim was found suffering from multiple stab wounds and was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals. Sigourney Police assisted with the investigation. Walker is in custody at the Keokuk County Jail.
