Three area boys track teams travel to Pekin Monday.

The WACO Warriors will be on the track tonight for the first time since the Steve Roth Relays at Case Field in Washington last week. The Warriors scored 58 points on the night, and had a pair of championships with Colton Horak winning the 110 hurdles and the 4×100 team of Will Edeker, Drew Kissell, Elijah McGohan and Calvin Battle bringing home gold.

Lone Tree will be opening the outdoor season tonight. The Lions were last in action at the Central Indoor Meet in Pella. Top finishes included Casey Shalla fifth in the shot put, Brock Smith ninth in the 400, Brady Dauber 15th in the 200, Harmon Miller 24th in the 800 and the 4×800 team fourth.

The Sigourney boys are stepping outside for the first time this track season tonight. Last time the Savages were in action was at the South Iowa Cedar League Indoor Championship meet in Grinnell a week ago. Sigourney had an event championship from Tommy Stout in the 1600.

Joining those three teams at Pekin tonight are Cardinal, English Valleys, Moravia, North Mahaska, Tri-County, Twin Cedars and Van Buren. Action begins at 4:30 and continues into the evening at Pekin High School.
