Total precipitation in March in Washington has been higher than normal.

According to the National Weather Service, 2.25 inches of precipitation is normal and this year 3.15 inches has been observed. So far this year Washington has had 5.83 inches of precipitation, exactly one inch above the normal amount. The average March temperature this year was 35.3 degrees, 2.3 degrees below normal.
