Ten car wrecks happened across Washington County Saturday between 8 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., including three sliding into the median of Highway 218.
According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 10:32 a.m. two vehicles were in the ditch along Wayland Road about one mile south of Washington. One driver was Israel Jimenez Valenzuela, who was cited for failure to maintain control and no proof of insurance accident related. At 12:29 p.m. dispatch received a call that a vehicle hit the side of the bridge along Wayland Road about six miles south of Washington. There were no injuries, but there were three small children in the vehicle. The southbound lane was blocked and Washington County Sheriff’s personnel responded. There was over $1,500 in damage.
