Description: Washington County 4-H County Council will be sponsoring an IJBBA Sanctioned open cattle show on Saturday April 28 at the Washington County Fairgrounds. This event is open to youth of all ages up to 21. To exhibit at this show, there are no requirements to be a member of the IJBBA or a member of 4-H. Description: The Washington County Master Gardeners are offering a $500 scholarship to a deserving Washington County resident pursuing a horticultural related degree or certificate from a college or university in the state of Iowa. Graduating high school seniors as well as county residents returning to school are eligible. Applications are available at all Washington County high schools, at the Washington County Extension office or on the extension website. Applications are due April 16 and should be sent to Nancy Adrian at Washington County Extension.
