Washington Economic Development Group Director Ed Raber presented his final briefing to the Washington County Board of Supervisors recently.

Raber and WEDG have been busy with hosting 125 people for the third annual realtor luncheon with realtors from Washington and Johnson Counties; discussed downtown historic building renovations with cities and property owners in Wellman, Kalona, and Riverside; co-hosted with Main Street Washington and the Chamber of Commerce the annual dinner with a record-breaking 295 attendees; and facilitated input on federal tax changes with staff from Senator Joni Ernst’s staff with local industries. Supervisor Jack Seward shared his thanks with Raber, “I want to say thank you also for everything you’ve done, everything you’ve tried to do, and the education you’ve attempted to give us. I do appreciate it.”

After 21 years with WEDG, Raber has accepted a position with the Greater Dubuque Development Corporation.
