Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls basketball standout Addie Rath saw her career come to an end this season.

Her mark on the program will live on in the record books as she finished third on the all-time Golden Hawk scoring list with 1,096 points, becoming just the fourth player to break the 1,000 point threshold.

Rath started her scoring journey as a freshman, putting up seven points in her first varsity action, a 58-45 loss to the Fairfield Trojans on the road November 24th, 2014. She finished her freshman season with 144 points. She scored 283 points as a sophomore and reached the 500 point mark early in her junior season with a 17 point outing in a 45-32 win at Durant on December 17th, 2016. Rath’s junior season saw her score 329 points. Her senior season was the best scoring output of her career, finishing with 343 points. She hit the 1,000 point mark with a 22 point night in a 65-63 loss at Wilton January 23rd of 2018. Her career high in a single game was 27 points. She hit that mark twice, in her junior year in a playoff win over Central Lee and in a December win this season over Williamsburg.

Rath finishes behind Jessica Larson who holds the all-time mark with 1,190 points and Emily Hershberger in second at 1,156 points. She is ahead of the other member of the 1,000 point club, Sarah Larson who is fourth all-time with 1,061 points.
