The Sigourney boys track and field team traveled to Belle Plaine Thursday night for a meet.

The Savages finished seventh of eight teams with 32 points. Grundy Center won the meet with 137 points. Top finish for the Savages came from the 4×800 team in second place with their time of 9:17.25. Other leaders for Sigourney included Spencer Magill third in the high jump at 5’4″, Tommy Stout third in the 1600 at 5:04.70, Hunter Schwab was fourth in the discus with a length of 114’9″, the 4×200 team was fourth in 1:41.77 and Paul Montgomery was fifth in the 800 in 2:20.41. Sigourney will next be in action Tuesday when they travel to Lynnville-Sully.
