A winter storm hit the KCII-listening area over the weekend leaving behind sleet and snow.

Washington received approximately four inches of snow Saturday. The normal amount of snow in Washington for the month of March is two inches of snow. According to the National Weather Service, Lone Tree received nearly five inches of snow, while Wapello had about two inches. Washington and Wellman had areas with power outages Saturday. According to the Washington County Communications Office multiple power lines were down over Ginkgo Avenue near Wellman at 6:05 a.m. Saturday.
